Fredon Township will be working on Kohlbocker road Thursday, 8/7 and Friday 8/8, so there will be closures on the Fredon portion of Kohlbocker. Please plan accordingly.

Please be advised that on Monday, August 4, the Sussex County Division of Engineering will be implementing a closure and detour of CR 521 in Stillwater Township, at MM 11.6 (approximately ½ mile north of the Warren County line),  for approximately (2) weeks – (3) weeks. 

In anticipation of a multi-year design and bidding process for final construction of the replacement retaining wall, the County’s design consultant has determined that two-lane, two-way traffic operations can be restored at this location utilizing reduced width lanes through the temporary traffic control zone.

A closure/detour of CR 521, around the project site, is required to perform the necessary work to reestablish two-way traffic.

2025-2026 Tax Bills will be mailed out by July 31. The due date has been extended due August 25.

Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) continues to restore service to customers who lost power during the severe weather event and has activated our retail water and ice program. For those customers remaining without power, JCP&L is offering free water and ice at the following locations as of June 25, 2025. You can obtain a voucher at the Customer Service desk. Stay safe!

Stillwater Township is seeking qualified applicants for a part-time or full-time Laborer I position. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating various types of equipment and performing manual labor for township maintenance operations.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Class B CDL with manual endorsement and airbrake or better preferred
• Proficiency in knowledge and physical capability to operate various types of machinery
• Experience with tree removal, drainage system repairs, and snow plowing operations in all weather conditions
• Ability to perform manual labor as required

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
• Part-time or Full-time position
• Candidates must reside in New Jersey or have a waiver from the Division of Local Government Services
