Amendments to the Agenda
There were no amendments made to the agenda.
Correspondence – Mrs. Richardson: None.
Egg Hunt – Mrs. Falotico
The event is essentially set. Mrs. Falotico reached out to Bill and Mrs. Martin to walk the field Wednesday evening to map out where events will be set up the day of the event. Prizes and baskets are complete. Lily Richardson will be running the face painting and tattoo table. Mrs. Falotico will be asking Lily to make a poster for the table as well. Utilizing the rain date was discussed. Decision will be made by Friday. If we are utilizing the rain date, we will let residents know on social media as well as put signage up at the park. Walkie talkies for the egg hunt are in.
Stillwater Day:
12:00-6:00 p.m.
Veteran’s Field
We will set up the stage and tent the night prior to the event. Vendors may begin to set up at 9:00 a.m. and be finished by 11:30 a.m.
Subcommittees:
Mrs. Minervino has reached out to our three contacts (Township Journal, Kittatinny School, Stillwater School) to confirm willingness to post flyer. Mrs. Minervino has adjusted the flyer and Mrs. Tosti has approved for posting. Three judges have been secured. If we need a fourth judge, Mrs. Minervino has a female State Trooper who is available and willing to participate. The florist who Mrs. Minervino has worked with for past events is leaving, but someone else will be taking her place. Mrs. Minervino can brief him/her on what is needed or we can use this time to price shop (Shop Rite, Weis).
Several activities were discussed again; however, none were set. These must be set by our April meetings. It was urged that we keep it simple for our first year. We can add on and make changes in the future. Some activities can run all day, others need to be set for a certain time.
Balloon animal making
Donut on a rope
Cornhole tournament
Story time
Face painting
Simple games (egg toss, etc.)
Field day type activities
Water balloon toss
Cake walk (similar to musical chairs)
Watermelon or pie eating contest (watermelon is not in season)
Limbo
Duck race (tickets would be sold for ducks and proceeds can go towards Summer Camp)
Dunk tank
Table featuring what our town offers
Our show has been secured – Tommy Knucklehead. He does tricks/jokes and is very well liked.
The stage has been donated from All Access. A large sign recognizing their donation should be displayed the day of event. The tent needs to be set up before the stage. We will need extension cords – Mrs. Tosti confirmed we have these already. We will need four bounce houses, two generators, and one 30×40 tent from Tri State Rentals.
Mr. Sylvester made a motion to rent the items listed above from Tri State Rentals based on the pricing estimated from our last meeting ($2,570.00), seconded by Mrs. Richardson.
Roll Call Vote: Mr. Sylvester, Mrs. Minervino, Mrs. Falotico, Mrs. Richardson, and Mrs. Tosti
Mr. Sylvester will be contacting Tri-State Rentals to coordinate bounce house/equipment. Mrs. Tosti suggested getting a variety of bounce houses to incorporate younger and older children.
Mr. Sylvester will reach out this week.
Vendors/Food Vendors – Mrs. Tosti
Applications are out. Food vendors can be difficult because they like a projection of attendees (understandable), however we are unable to estimate at this time since we have not held this event in a few years.
Talent Show – Mr. Sylvester
Two to three judges will be needed. Applications have been updated and approved. Waiver is complete. Mr. Sylvester will send both to Mrs. Wunder for posting. Prizes to be decided. There will be three different age groups: 5-11, 12-17, Adult. If there are children younger than 5, they will be allowed to participate.
Field Updates – Mr. Sylvester
Refer to attached list from Mr. Sylvester.
Mr. Sylvester would like to send a thank you to DPW to recognize all their hard work on our fields.
