Stillwater Township Planning Board
Minutes of July 21, 2021
The regular meeting of the Stillwater Township Planning Board was held at the Township Municipal Building and was called to order by Chairman Pierce at 7:33 p.m. He led the Board in the flag salute and he announced that adequate notice of this meeting had been given to the public and the press under the provisions of the “Open Public Meetings Act”, N.J.S.A 10:4-1 et.seq.

Chairman Pierce opened the meeting up to the public at 7:35 p.m. With there being no public comment, the meeting was closed to the public.

The Board discussed if there was an update on the concerns that were raised regarding 947A Old Schoolhouse Road. It was noted that the Zoning Officer will perform a site visit next week, to view the matter, from the neighbor’s property.

Liaison Updates-Committee, Mayor, Board of Adjustment, and Environmental
Mr. Branagan provided an Environmental Commission update: Fairview Lake Watershed, Member Szabo and Secretary Wunder leaving, and Mr. Sylvester attending the meeting to provide information.
Mayor Chammings provided the Committee update, which was discussed with the Board: Presentation of Equipment (Capital Ordinance), sale of properties, new Zoning Officer, Planet Network-Internet, and the Gallagher property. She also noted the need to work on the Master Plan Reexamination and going out for an RFP for a Planner. She noted that some issues have been raised by the new Zoning Officer (yards on lake side properties, etc…) that may want to be reviewed. Board Secretary Schemm stated that there was a recommendation by the Zoning Board many years ago (2014) regarding lake side properties, and it was on the agenda and discussed at many meetings and the topic was finally removed off the Agenda in 2018, with no action.

Residents are able to view property tax information and make payments through the online system. You may find a property by entering the property’s location or block, lot and qualifier.
