STILLWATER TOWNSHIP

ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT

November 18, 2024@ 7:30 pm

A REGULAR MEETING of the Stillwater Township Zoning Board of Adjustment was held on the above date and time. The meeting was called to order in accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act. The flag was saluted, and roll call taken.

MEMBERS PRESENT:

Mr. Lippencott, Mrs. Draghi, Mr. Wykoff, Mrs. Mountford, Mr. van der Haeghen, Mr. Kochenthal and Mr. Doolittle

MEMBERS ABSENT: None

ALSO PRESENT: William Haggerty, Esq., Deputy Mayor, Vera Rumsey and Dawn Delaney

SWEARING IN OF BOARD MEMBERS: N/A

APPROVAL OF MINUTES: October 28, 2024

Mr. van der Haeghen made the motion to approve the October minutes, seconded by Mrs. Draghi.

Mrs. Draghi made the motion to approve the above Resolution, pending a few revisions, seconded by Mrs. Mountford.

OLD/NEW BUSINESS:

Deputy Mayor Rumsey had the Fire Chief inspect the driveway of Mrs. Rose Sandford at 905 Mount Benevolence Road due to her concerns over her neighbor blocking ingress and egress to her property. The Chief confirmed that a firetruck could safely make the turn into her driveway.

An application from Mr. John Bessler has been received and is pending approval from the Township Committee.

An application for 901 Stillwater Road was submitted to the Zoning Board Secretary.

Mr. Haggerty advised the Board that it cannot be distributed for review until the taxes for both lots on the property are brought current.

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC: The session was opened to the public at 7:55pm. Being no business, the hearing was closed to the public.

COMMITTEE LIAISON REPORT:

Deputy Mayor, Vera Rumsey:

– Illegal dumping has continued at Swartswood park. The Zoning Officer has been notified to investigate.

– More vandalism has occurred at Veterans Park. Immediately following paving and striping, someone did donuts with their vehicle disturbing the freshly painted parking lines.

– Senior Game Night will be held at the Community Center this Thursday, November 21st from 6-8pm.

– The Fire Department is providing free dinners for those in need. They will be distributed on November 26, 2024.

– Breakfast with Santa will be held at the firehouse on December 1, 2024.

EXECUTIVE SESSION: None

ADJOURNMENT: At approximately 8:02pm a motion was made to adjourn the meeting. With a voice vote, all were in favor.
