As a reminder, the Sheriff’s Department requires birth dates on all applications. Also, please carry your CERT ID at all times. It’s required when you show up to any scene

There will be a Basic CERT Training Course this fall. Willie said the instructors were very helpful and good

There were 214 fire calls in 2024 within a 65 mile radius of Stillwater. So far in 2025, there have been 82 fire calls

We received a donation of $250 for participating in the 2025 Water Safety Fair

Upcoming trainings: June is CPR/AED and July is LifeVac

On May 17th, Donna, Dough, and Maureen attended ‘Preparing for Major Power Grid Outages’ presentation.

New Business:

Maureen talked about emergency equipment available through the county and showed pictures of blow-up (inflatable) buildings that can be heated/cooled. They were used during the pandemic to administer vaccines to the public. the roofs are strong enough to withstand snow. They are large enough to drive a truck through and can be attached to each other to create larger buildings/ They also include a drop tank for hazardous materials. When deflated, they can be packed into moveable containers and shipped on a truck. A second truck would contain all medical supplies.

Maureen asked members to supply ‘Spin-the-Wheel’ questions for the Bicentennial table.

Adjournment: The meeting adjourned at 7:58pm.

Respectfully submitted,
Carol Kouba
