ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT

May 22, 2023

A REGULAR MEETING of the Stillwater Township Zoning Board of Adjustment was held on Monday, May 22, 2023, at 7:30 p.m. The meeting was called to order by Chairman George Lippencott in accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act. The flag was saluted and roll call taken:

MEMBERS PRESENT: Mr. Wykoff, Mrs. Draghi, Mr. Kochenthal, Mr. van der Haeghen

MEMBERS ABSENT: Mrs. Mountford

ALSO PRESENT: William Haggerty, Esq., Joseph Vuich, PE and Committee Liaison, Dawn Delaney

MINUTES:

Minutes were not received by all Board Members so the approval was moved to the June, 2023 Agenda.

BILLS:

Mr. Wykoff made the motion to pay the following bills, seconded by Mr. van der Haeghen

Dolan & Dolan Abramowitz, Block 3401, Lot 13 $76.50

Roll call vote in favor: Mr. Wykoff – Yes, Mr. van der Haeghen – Yes, Mr. Lippencott – Yes, Mrs. Draghi – Yes, Mr. Kochenthal – Yes.

NEW BUSINESS:

Move to Tier A Stormwater Management  – Mr. Vuich provided an explanation of the requirements that will need to be met and incorporated over the next 1-2 years. Education and training will be needed by township employees. It is in the best interest of the Township to get in the habit now of filling out the proper paperwork so we will be in good shape in year 3 when we will need to operate fully under their guidelines. This is a federal mandate that must be adhered to.

The session was opened to the public at 7:47 pm. There being no public comment, the session was closed to the public at 7:47 pm.

COMMITTEE LIASON REPORT:

Mrs. Delaney provided the following summary:

Noise Ordinance #2023-12 was reverted back to it’s 1972 version

Ordinance #2023-13 regarding Noises with the exception for discharging of firearms was introduced, tabled, and passed.

Ordinance #2023-11 was introduced regarding the Restriction of feeding wildlife. Being cited will result in a $50.00 violation. This will be heard at the June 20, 2023, meeting.

Memorial Day Celebration will be held on May 29, 2023 at 10:00 am

With there being no further business, a motion was made and seconded to adjourn the meeting at 7:59 pm. In a voice vote, all were in favor.
