Approval of Minutes

Welcome:
Presentation by Maverick’s Legacy a Nonprofit started in memory of their son Maverick Scott Chambers. Their mission is to raise awareness around the dangers of choking for infants and children. Providing lifesaving education and use of the LifeVac airway clearance device.

Old Business:
Thank you to Ben Griffin for running the American Heart Association Training. 12 newly certified CERT volunteers trained. The team will continue practicing newly learned skills.

New Business:
Mayor Lisa Chammings –  OEM Report

Fire and EMS Report – EMS 297; Fire 116 YTD

Updated CERT Training and Community Event Calendar send to members on July 15th.

Discussed with Patrick Freeland about running a second county CERT Basic Training Course in the fall.

On July 7th, Michelle, Doug, and Maureen attended an informational meeting on Home Fire Safety Program. Michelle will discuss the outtakes.

Maureen is working with the NJ Fire Prevention Agency to set up a workshop for the CERT volunteers, anticipated for September but date TBD.

At the August 27th meeting, Maureen will be requesting the addition of two positions: Technical Support and Liaison Reporter.
