CERT has a new meeting and training location for 2026 – The Stillwater Collective. 901 Main Street, Newton, NJ 07860.
Volunteers are needed for set up and clean up for our Community Service Program on January 28th. Program will be presented by JCP&L at the Stillwater Community Center at 7:00pm. Please wear CERT apparel.
Discussion pertaining to the CERT training requirements will include a list of certifications, attendance, community service and events, and required trainings.
Collection of a copy of CERT IDs cards and photo ID. Front and back. Accountability is a requirement. This is extremely important.
Requesting information about the statis of the new CERT IDs and the County IDs from our OEM.
Community Safety Program calendar has been approved by the Township Committee. Programs will run from March thru November 2026. Most of them are on Tuesdays from 1:00pm-2:00pm. Maureen and Ilene met on 1/10/2026 to discuss the list of programs.. Ilene agreed to contact a few more organizations to present new and informative programs as requested by participants. Programs will be sponsored by the Sussex County Sheriffs Department, Sussex County Prosecutors Office, and Sussex County Department of Human Services, etc. Ilene will report back to Maureen.
Motion to approve funds for the CERT Volunteer Trainings for 2026, not to exceed $1,500.00. First Aid Training will be held on February 25th at the regular meeting.
Motion to approve volunteer(s) to fill in during Maureen’s absences in the command center. Maureen will be responsible for training the volunteer(s). Not to exceed 2 volunteers.

Residents are able to view property tax information and make payments through the online system. You may find a property by entering the property’s location or block, lot and qualifier.
