Welcome:
Welcome to all our new members, we appreciate you volunteering on our CERT Team.

Old Business:
1. Stillwater CERT Team added 4 newly trained volunteers in November 2024 and 3 in January 2025.
2. On January 16th CERT volunteers completed the ‘Stop the Bleed’ Training. 10 of the 11 CERT members are now certified.
3. Quest speaker Katie Walker will be hosting a Narcan Training event.
4. CERT ID Badges will be handed out to volunteers along with “Stop the Bleed’ certificates. Copies will also be made an put into each volunteer’s file.

New Business:
Mayor Lisa Chammings – OEM Report

Deputy Mayor Vera Rumsey – Fire Dept. Report

CERT Program Coordinator Maureen Tsadilas – Report

Review with the team the new training record forms. Copies will be available to take.

No confirmation on whether or not a CERT Basic Training Course will be offered locally any time soon. Maureen has the materials for those who wish to take it online. For those interested, Passaic County Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Management is offering the course on April 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th. Please see Maureen for additional information.

Maureen is working on securing a small donation to help with supplies for the upcoming First Aid, CPR, and AED Trainings.

Maureen met with Fairview Lake YMCA Camp regarding holding an Outdoor First Aid Training course. We also discussed the Water Safety Fair that they are hosting on May 18th.

Maureen met with Newton Trophy and discussed getting jackets for the CERT volunteers. Information and a quote was sent to Lisa for OEM approval. A portion of the OEM budget will be used for this purchase.

A new laptop has arrived. Thank you Ilene for taking the time to set up the laptop. Thank you Lisa for assisting with the laptop set up and making this happen for the CERT team.

Thank you Katie Walker, from the Sussex County Recovery Center, for the Narcan Training Program.
