PLANNING BOARD MEETING MINUTES
February 19, 2025
The Reorganization Meeting of the Stillwater Township Planning Board was held on the above date and was called to order by Chair Puccio at 7:00 pm.

Members Absent: Mrs. Delaney, Mr. Lippencott
Also Present:
The Board stood for the flag salute, and it was announced that adequate notice of this meeting had been given to the public and the press under the provisions of the “Open Public Meetings Act”, N.J.S.A 10:4-1 et. seq.
MINUTES:
Mayor Chammings made the motion to approve the January 2025 Minutes, seconded by Ms. Kavanagh.

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC: The meeting was opened to the public at 7:04. There being no public comment, the hearing was closed.
BILLS:
Ms. Kavanagh made the motion to pay the following bill, seconded by Mr. Pierce.

OLD/NEW BUSINESS:
• Dan Freed from Dan Freed, Sussex County Records Manager provided a presentation on the Sussex County Parcel Document Viewer. All information can be viewed at https://gis.sussex.nj.us/parceldocviewer/
• Combined Use Board – A local Land Use Survey was requested by Committeewoman Rumsey and distributed to the Board. Discussion was held regarding changing our current Planning and Zoning Boards to a Combined Use Board.
After deliberation, the Board decided that they are satisfied with the current structure(s) of the separate Boards. A motion was made by Mr. Voris to continue to maintain separate Planning and Zoning Boards, seconded by Mrs. Puccio.

• 992 Fairview Lake Road – The structure has been demolished. A 1000-gallon oil tank was discovered so a hazardous discharge study needs to be done.
• The Parking Ordinance for the business district will be reviewed and discussed at the next meeting.
CORRESPONDENCE: None
LIAISONS:
Mayor Chammings provided the Township Committee and Environmental reports.
They are moving along with increasing the length of service for volunteer fire fighters. A second hearing was held, and it was adopted.
A second hearing was held regarding additional paving, and it was also adopted. They are reimplementing holding a Board of Health Meeting four times per year.
The Township has applied for a few more grants and are waiting for an answer on the one for LRIG.
Salaries and wages were discussed at the Budget meeting and a motion was made to support a percentage raise increase.
More quotes are being requested to repair the HVAC. The first one was $17,000.00.
Paulinskill Lake presented videos on a project they are doing to work on cleaning up and taking care of their waterways.

PUBLIC COMMENT: Mrs. Puccio opened the hearing to the public at 8:22pm. There being no public comment, the meeting was closed to the public.

With there being no further business, a motion was made to adjourn the meeting with all in favor at 8:22pm.
