Old Business:
Approval of July 22, 2026 meeting minutes

Fire and EMS Report – EMS: 123, Fire: 55 (as of 8/24/2026)

The July 22, 2026 Search & Rescue Drill took place at Michelle Vosper’s farmstead. A thank you card was sent to Michelle.

Thank you to Sue Dell, CERT’s newest volunteer, for helping set up Monday night for Tuesday’s Safety program. Thank you to the CERT volunteers who attended and helped with clean up. Again, attendance was low and may considering cancelling the remainder of them (Sept. 1)

New Business:

CERT IDs

Ken Leifer has been working on a CERT video presentation to be shown to the public. Pictures of our newest training and events are being added. This presentation will be used for CERT’s next 2 events: Sussex County Day on Sept. 20th and The Fall Fest on Oct. 10th.

On October 6th, the video presentation will be shown at the Town Hall meeting. Attendance by all CERT volunteers is required.

The Fall Festival application has been submitted to Beth Martin. Set up is 10am, break is 4:30pm.

Vince and Suzanne Troiano created an outstanding article for our CERT team. Thank you both for your hard work and to those who sent your feedback for the article. It was printed in the Township Journal this month.

On August 20th, the New Jersey Incident Management Responder Course was held in Sparta, NJ. A total of 12 CERT volunteers completed and received certificates.

On September 1st, the CERT Safety Program will be presented by Ridge & Valley Conservancy from 1p-2p at the Stillwater Community Center.

Approval of the August bills.

Maureen is asking our OEM to purchase a proper ‘Go Bag’ for the team. This will allow necessary first aid supplies to remain organized when in the field. Amount not to exceed $70.

On September 27th, there will be an Autism Awareness Training for CERT will be at the Company 3 Firehouse in Hopatcong, NJ. Further information will be sent to CERT volunteers.

On August 19th, Maureen attended a meeting with the Warren County Historical Society and Fire Department. We discussed how our CERT volunteers will be best utilized during the Oktoberfest. CERT volunteers will assist with parking, pedestrian crossings, and roadside parking. Maureen asked that CERT volunteers do a site visit with Bob Wolf closer to the event date. Bob agreed this was a very good idea. Maureen will let them know what time to arrive, the event will be held on October 4th.
