A lengthy brainstorming session took place to begin the planning process of our exciting
Bicentennial/Stillwater Day event. Although not much was decided or confirmed, it was a successful meeting where members were able to express their thoughts and ideas. Several ideas included a parade, pie eating contest, and duck race. Some have already taken place at Stillwater Day, new ideas will need to be presented for the Bicentennial portion of the event. Collectable Coins are being priced for a collectable token. Baseball caps and t-shirts were also mentioned. Flag displays with the Stillwater emblem were also discussed. While this is a favorable idea, there is a specific process that must be executed in allowing these flags to be displayed. It was confirmed to members of the Historical Society that anything budget related is handled by our CFO. Mrs. Delaney is currently getting quotes from firework companies for the firework show for the Bicentennial Celebration of Stillwater Day. Mrs. Tosti is currently sending Vendors a “Save the Date” for next year. The next meeting scheduled to be held on 9/162024.
