April 23, 2025
Volunteers received CERT sweatshirts before the meeting.
Called to order at 7:05 pm.
Flag Salute.
Present: Maureen Tsadilas, Lisa Chammings, Willie Corbisiero, Barbara and Roland Kimmich, Carol Kouba, Doug McIntyre, Dawn Mutschler, Ilene Schwartz, John Tsadilas, Michelle Vosper
The meeting began with a presentation on self defense by Sue Dell, R.N. The training videos used are available on YouTube.
Old Business:
CERT earned $300 for participating in Stillwater Cleanup Day on April 5. Maureen’s brother donated money for CERT T-shirts.
New Business:
The Water Safety Fair on May 17 will run from 1-4:30pm at Fairview Lake. CERT will have an information table as well as sell bagels and water.

June 1 Wilderness Training (Search & Rescue) 9am-5pm @ Fairview Lake
June 26 CERT Training 9am-5pm @ Sayreville

We will cover CPR/AED at May meeting.
Maureen thanked Michelle for helping to write the CERT article that appeared in the Township Journal.
OEM Report:
Lisa encouraged members to be fire concsious, especially to wet down mulch in hot, dry weather. She is working on a new shelter annex that should be ready in time for shelter training.
The Sussex County Sheriffs Department is partnering with ReGroup to issue mass emergency notifications. You must sign up to receive notifications.

Stillwater Township offers residents a Recycling and Convenience Center for household trash and recycling.
Residents are able to view property tax information and make payments through the online system. You may find a property by entering the property’s location or block, lot and qualifier.
