CERT
February 26, 2025

The meeting was held in the Township Municipal Building and began at 7:00pm. The meeting began with Narcan Training, presented by Katie Walker from the Center for Prevention and Counseling.

Present: Ilene Schwartz, Lisa Chammings, Dawn Mutschler, Douglas McIntyre, Barbara Kimmich, Michelle Vosper, William Corbisiero, Carol Kouba, Maureen Tsadilas, and Ronald Kimmich

The business portion of the meeting began at 7:55pm.

OEM Report:
Per Lisa, Stillwater’s Emergency Operations Plan is due to be updated. This must be done every 3 years according to federal guidelines. There was a structure fire in Stillwater that effected a garage. The OEM office was used to provide the effected family with a place to rest.

Old Business: 
CERT now has a new laptop. Initially, there was trouble logging in because we didn’t have the Stillwater Township username. Valerie, the Township Clerk, provided it so now everything is working.

New Business:
A CERT Basic Training course is available in Passaic County in April.

Maureen got a Sussex County Community College student to make a loop video about CERT that can be shown at events.

There will be a training in the Spring at the Fire Academy. Topics to be announced.

This year is Stillwater’s Bicentennial. The celebration will be on June 7th, which is also Stillwater Day.

Maureen will get an estimate from newton Trophy for CERT sweatshirts.

Maureen is working with Fairview Lake Camp on coordinating a Wilderness rescue Training for the CERT team.
