Old Business:
1. Katie Walker from the Sussex County Recovery Center trained 11 CERT volunteers in the newest Narcan Training Program.
2. Maureen proposed not ordering CERT coats until September, as the weather is warming up and they wouldn’t be necessary until the fall. Instead, Maureen will be looking into quotes for sweatshirts.
3. Passaic County Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Management is offering the Basic CERT Training Course on April 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th. If interested, please see Maureen for additional information.

New Business:

The CERT Community Event Calendar has been updated to include upcoming trainings. Copies are available to take.

NJ CERT Workshop ‘Disasterville’ will be held on Saturday, April 26th, from 8a-4p at the Middlesex County Fire Academy in Sayreville, NJ. An informational flyer was sent out to the team on March 20th. For this workshop, it is suggested to carpool if possible.

Maureen received 3 quotes for CERT sweatshirts, which have been sent to Lisa from OEM for approval. As of now, waiting to hear back from OEM before placing order.

Paperwork was completed and turned into Town Hall for CERT to participate in Clean-Up Day and Stillwater Day.

Maureen will be leading the team’s first aid training as part of tonight’s meeting. This is part 1 of a 2 part training. On April 23rd, the CERT meeting will include part 2, which is CPR and AED Training.
